This is a story about basketball

I bought a basketball a while back and I’ve been playing at my condo, mostly against very poor competition. It’s like playing in the C division of McGill bball intramurals except much shorter and more Chinese. For the longest time the basketball courts at school have been under construction, but last week the school finished their work and opened 6 brand new outdoor courts. I almost wet myself when I saw them. They are perfect, and I’m happy to say the competition is now up to mid-level B. The problem is my Chinese is really weak. I’m like ‘what’s the score’ and they’re like ‘chee shi.’ I just nod in agreement.

I'm jealous. I play in a lecture hall that converts to a basketball court. The floors are basically just concrete with tile on top.

The level of ball sounds about the same, but its the frickin' UN over here. There's probably about 8 nationalities and I've learned that the serbian countries love to cheat. You may not know the score but I watch it jump by several points every time I'm not paying attention.
